Southern Maine Heat Pumps is committed to ensuring that everyone in Greater Portland and Southern Maine — including people with disabilities — can access the heat pump installation and service information on this website. We believe access to information about home heating and cooling should be available to all of our neighbors.

We work to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort: as we add new pages and features, we review them for keyboard navigability, sufficient color contrast, descriptive alternative text, and clear heading structure.

To go beyond baseline compliance, every page includes an accessibility toolbar (the round button in the lower-left corner). It lets you increase text size across three levels, enable a high-contrast mode, highlight links, switch to a more readable font, enlarge the cursor, and pause animations. Your preferences are saved in your own browser using localStorage — no account is required and nothing is tracked.
